Let's update your wine rack, it's time to taste some new wines that will blow your mind.
We all love our 'old trusties': New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, Argentinian Malbec, Prosecco, Chilean Merlots, Bordeaux. Yum but yawn.
What other unknown beauties are out there to get you excited?
Be the first to discover the new wines that will soon be lining the shelves of our wine
merchants. We'll try wines from upcoming superstar countries like Croatia, Canada, Romania, China, England amongst others! Have you tried the bang-on-trend orange wines or wines that are naturally made? What about the 'pet nat' sparkling wine that all the trendies are always talking about (are you one of them?) Our adventurous line up on will be one sure to surprise you and, most importantly, be super tasty.
You will try three wines of different styles, from sparkles, white, pink, red, orange to the sweet stuff. Join us for an evening of unearthing treasures of unusual grape varieties and styles to unsuspecting countries of great wine. Find out what else is available to you and let's see what else you love.
Alongside your wines you will receive a box of artisan cheese pairings, fruit preserve and premium crackers. We source our cheese from the delectable Harrogate cheesemonger The Cheeseboard. Their cheeses are all specialty produce from across the world made by small production passionate cheese makers.
See your friends
Throughout the tasting, you'll have an opportunity to join any other friends or family
who are also on the tasting in a private breakout room. So if you fancy seeing some far away friends for a wine infused catch up then this is your chance. The link will stay open after the tasting for you to carry on your private party.
If you’re flying solo and you fancy chatting with other wine lovers, there’s an opportunity to join the ‘social breakout room’. One guest described this as like ‘meeting other people at the bar’.
Va Va Zoom
Following the arrival of your wines and cheeses, The Drink Talking will host an interactive, upbeat and educational tasting with Sophia via Zoom. Let her entertain you with education about the wine regions, grapes and cheese pairings all served with a side of humour and a belly laugh. The Zoom tastings include a presentation, polls, quizzes and break out rooms which will allow you to be interactive with Sophia and other guests, or, if you prefer, simply sit back and enjoy the presentation.

A note on price
Hey folks, let’s talk about price. Like most other businesses at these times, The Drink Talking has incurred some price increases over this last year. Brexit has meant inflation on both wine and cheeses, as well as delivery costs being affected by Covid. Because of this, this season’s events have unfortunately (and begrudgingly) increased a little in price. Thank you for your continued support; I’ll be using these extra queen heads to feed your wine and cheese habit with all my might
